Who needs this training?

Asbestos is an extremely hazardous material therefore anyone who is likely to disturb asbestos in their work must have an awareness of the dangers and correct health and safety procedures.

Course content

• The properties of asbestos and its effects on health
  The risk of developing asbestos related deceases
  The types, uses and likely occurrence of asbestos and asbestos materials in buildings and plant
  The general procedures to deal with an emergency
  How to avoid the risk of exposure to asbestos

Course Length

Candidates should expect to undertake up to 4 hours of guided learning.

Assessment

This is assessed by a multiple-choice examination where candidates need to get 15 out 20 answers correct

Results of examinations will be issued within two working days
Certificates issued within two working days.
